Story of Art: Art through the Ages

Art has been a part of the human life since before the alphabet was formed. It was and still is a universal form of written communication between people. Even if they do not speak the same language a picture could explain a generous amount of things.

You can find art on the insides of the Egyptian pyramids and even on the etchings of Greek structures. Images have been used all around the world to communicate and even tell stories. Stories of love and loss, war and kinship among other things have all been told by a few pictures etched or painted on a wall. Art whether it is a photograph or a painting tells the story of the important events that have taken place or mean something in someone's life.

There are various styles of painting that have been perfected over the years such as abstract and impressionist styles. When looking at a painting and taking it in as a whole an abstract painting may look odd but when your imagination is able to lead you don a creative road it can take you anywhere. A few shapes could turn into a house, car, even the great pyramids in the middle of the Egyptian desert. That is the amazing power that art has. It has the ability to open your mind and make you think completely outside of the box.

Art has been used as a form of expression and communication over several years. Forms of art have evolved into more specific and exact shapes and measurements, more vivid colors and different and more advanced techniques. Art and art forms will continue to advance as society becomes more advanced. Using the older techniques and evolving them into new art forms is like appreciating the greats and the things that they have done, just putting your own little spin on it.
