Through the Lens: The Art of Photography

When some think of art they often times only think of paintings or sculptures. A particular form of art that has come to the forefront is photography. It may seem easy to pick up a paintbrush and spread some colors on a canvas but once you try it, it is harder than what it seems. Photography on the other hand may be somewhat easier.

A simple point and shoot camera can make some of the most beautiful pictures. Simple things such as the sun shining through the trees can make a picture amazing. When looking at a picture such as the one described you can lose yourself in your imagination. Imagine the warm summer breeze rustling the leaves, the suns warm rays warming your skin to the touch while the sweet smell of freshly cut grass engulfs your senses.

Seeing a photograph lets you see exactly what the photographer was seeing at that particular moment. What he or she may have been thinking is left up to interpretation. Seeing the world through someone else's eyes can be an exhilarating experience. Often times looking at a photograph of something can lead you to think that you could have taken that same photo or that you have seen that same exact situation but never really thought it could have been turned into something so beautiful and unique. Sometimes the most generic of objects can be photographed in a very unique and out of the box sort of way.

No matter what the subject matter of the picture, no matter how simple or complex a picture truly is worth a thousand words. Remembering that the thousand words can mean so much more to each individual and can mean one million different things. Interpretation is in the human nature and each and every one of us can interpret things a million different ways.
